this and this and this

This past weekend the babette has made rapid progress!
With special thanks to our friends for making a weekend getaway possible

we could enjoy unlimited beach walks:

(freezing) evening jetty walks:

and most of all, time to sit down, relax and have uninterupted conversations and in-between
this babette was able to take shape.

Now to finish off all those ends and stitch it together.

daisychain

The headband was laying on the lounge table the other night which gave me an idea...

which then turned the idea into this...

tied at the base of the head, so OSFA!

Now I should get on with those squares...

re-focus

With a few other projects completed, it is time to re-focus and get back to making squares. February will be here before we know it, and this babette is too big to take on a summer camping trip...

pair & spare

Something simple and easy inbetween...

Just using a thick hair tie, size 2.75mm hook, and crochet cotton, I made the pattern up as I went. I make three the same, as one always seems to go missing, same story as hair clips.

I have more half made and will post when these are done.
Till next time

BriGhT gReEn

Another little happy girl. Happy to see her sunday bag is finally completed, bright green and all, but it brings out the green dots in her skirt. I ended up modifying and making it bigger then the purple granny bag in a early post, and now nicely fits her childs Bible in it.

She has been watching it the last week on the table next to my chair, regularly asking if it was finished yet. ( I had a busy week last week, so unfortunately, crocheting gets dropped first...) It was carefully hung up on a hook in her room on Saturday night, ready for Sunday.

Till next time.

flutterbyes

one nine year old
twelve girly hands
one girls party

I have previously found that a organised activity was one way of keeping giggling girlies under control! Last year we decorated cupcakes, and seeing Kimberley has been getting a lot of enjoyment out of craft lately, I struck on this idea. Again taken from this folder, I had pre-sewed the felt together during the week for these doorhangers, so all the girls had to do was some handstitching, gluing and their own imagination and it kept them busy for a good while.
Another enjoyable party.

happy birthday, daughter.
